Land, buildings, and staff quarters
An Arx is a private foundry. It is not a housing development. It is not a neighborhood of lots for sale. It is not an apartment office open to the public.
The clinic’s reproductive mission is disclosed before anyone joins. Membership is not a genomic filter and not a racial occupancy rule for adults. Admission is based on capacity and commitment to the work. Lineage choice is made in pairing and the bank, not by a membership vote, and not by who sleeps on the grounds.
Who owns the ground
The Federation, or a foundry entity it controls, owns the land and the buildings of each Arx. Operators do not own the land. Operators do not own the structures.
If you are admitted as an operator and the work is on site, you live in staff quarters. Those quarters are part of the job. They end when the work ends or when membership ends.
You are not buying a house. You are not buying a share that stands in for a house. You are not being offered a deed.
Why the foundry holds title
The foundry exists to do a specific kind of work: build, teach, keep the covenant, defend the boundary, and raise the children placed with the operators. The buildings exist so that work can be done in one place. Title stays with the institution that exists to do that work.
If operators held personal title, every admission would start to look like the sale of a home, and every departure would start to look like a forced sale. That is not what an Arx is. An Arx is not a subdivision.
What living on site is
Staff quarters are housing for admitted operators. They are not public housing. They are not rented to the public. A person receives a room because that person was admitted to do the work, and because the work is on site. Living in the room does not give anyone a vote on lineage aims. The clinic and the gamete bank decide those aims.
What we do not do
We do not sell lots, units, or plot-tied shares to the public.
We do not advertise rooms as homes for sale or as apartments for rent.
We do not create an expectation that anyone who applies will be housed.
We do not make membership a ticket to buy land.
We do not assign dwellings by protected class.
We do not let a person who has left the work keep a room as if it were private property.
What an applicant is told
Before anyone joins, the applicant is told the clinic’s mission in the same direct language used on this site. The applicant is also told the ownership fact: the foundry owns the land and the buildings; staff quarters come with the job; occupancy ends when the work ends; lineage aims stay with the clinic and the bank.
